The home of interior Designer Stephanie Margaritidis is the unique backdrop showcasing the steph & gaia homewares collections. Inspired by the environment that surrounds her, she creates exquisite still lives of the dark and the exuberant with her homewares. For Stephanie it’s all about creating a story.

Stephanie Margaritidis has qualifications in Fine Arts, and Art Education and also graduated with Distinction from The Sydney Institute of Design. Having won the award for her year in 2002, she founded her design studio atease interiors and has continued working  with clients on design projects since then. In 2009 steph & gaia her handmade homewares was conceived, just months before the birth of son Matteo. Stephanie designs homewares of unique beauty that are made locally in Sydney, Australia using natural fibres. The emphasis is on the bespoke not the mass produced allowing for personal and sensitive approach to manufacture. Fabrics are recycled along with linens, lace and natural cottons – a cornerstone of the steph & gaia philosophy.

Today Stephanie lives with sculptor Adam Laerkesen and son, Matteo. She continues to design, work and dream from her Sydney studio.
